STEC Invests 317 Million Baht to Acquire a 51% Stake in Mars Water Supply, Expanding into Industrial Water Management
Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Public Company Limited (STEC) has made a significant move to expand its energy and utilities sector by investing 317.06 million Baht through its subsidiary, Stecon Power Co., Ltd. (STECP). STEC has acquired a 51% stake in Mars Water Supply Co., Ltd., a company specializing in the production and distribution of clean water for industrial use. This acquisition marks a strategic step towards securing a stable and continuous revenue stream for the STECON Group.
Mars Water Supply Co., Ltd. Managed by MR.Yutthachai Phukhunthasom (Board of director) and MR. Charlie Choungrangsee Board of directors) has plans to supply clean water to both government and private industrial estates, including long-term agreements with the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) for projects at Bang Pu, Lat Krabang, and Nakhon Luang Industrial Estates. These projects involve 25-year contracts, ensuring long-term profitability and stability.
Furthermore, this acquisition aligns with STEC's strategic focus on sustainable resource management, adhering to the principles of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance).
